Rindi was born on February 25, 1958. She went to St. Rose then to Newtown High and graduated a year early with the class of '75. She movied to Florida right after graduation, and married Vissario Delaportas, known as Rio, on August 16, 1993. Rindi was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Tarpon Springs.
She passed away after a 10 year battle with breast and ovarian cancer on May 23, 2010 in Tarpon Springs, FL. She left behind her husband and one son, Pete. She is buried in Cycadia Cemetary in Tarpon Springs, FL.

I met Rindy my very first day of school in Connecticut, at St. Rose. She sat behind me, and befriended me. She's the one who introduced me to her Girl Scout troop, which I ended up joining. She quit after that year, and we drifted apart as friends, but I stayed with the Scouts for several more years and had a lot of great experiences thanks to her hooking me up.
