Pete was one of the first classmates I met when I came to Newtown, (crazy story) and we jumped in Track, always had a good relationship. I don't track too many people that have passed in our class, which is way more than I thought, but his hit home. Rest in Peace, Pete.
This hit hard. Pete grew up down the street. We used to ride the bus together, hang out in the neighborhood, and he occasionally cut Mom's grass for her. Mom was heartbroken too, remembering him as a sweet guy who was always nice to her.
During High School Pete and I were friends but I wouldn't say "close" friends, however, we would joke and laugh together for long periods of time. I wanted to share here that approx. 10 days ago I "all of a sudden" started thinking about Pete and our interactions and I laughed and laughed.
