Miss Mariette Pacquin passed away April 4, 1985. She was born on October 29, 1923 so was only 61. She always seemed old to me even back in high school. From old newspaper records I found she actually started at Sandy Hook Elementary. She's buried at St. Mary's Cemetary in Bethel. A memorial scholarship at NHS is named for her.
